Write for the next traveler

Share the context that made your experience work or fail: who you traveled with, when you went, what mattered, what surprised you, and what you would do differently.

Be honest about firsthand experience

Describe what actually happened to you. Separate facts from personal preference, and correct important mistakes when you notice them.

Reviews should describe your own experience

Share what you actually experienced. Do not copy or republish another person’s review.

• No defamation, personal attacks, harassment or discriminatory language.
• No false or fabricated information.
• Do not post with the purpose of unfairly disrupting or damaging a business.
• Do not copy another traveler’s review.

Photo & Privacy

Take particular care with the privacy of people shown in photos. Avoid posting photos in which a third party can be identified.

• Photos taken without appropriate permission or photos that invade another person’s privacy are prohibited.
• Authorized administrators may hide or remove a photo when needed to protect people or their rights.

Respect people

• No personal attacks, harassment, hate, discrimination or humiliation.
• Do not post another person’s private information, face or photo without permission.
• Do not encourage dangerous, illegal or seriously inappropriate behavior.

Keep the network useful

• No spam, repetitive promotion or disguised advertising.
• Do not trade, buy or manipulate Helpful and Thank you reactions.
• Use comments to add context or ask a respectful question—not to win an argument.

Contribution over attention

YUI recognizes experience that helps someone make a better decision. Follower counts, loudness and popularity rankings do not define trust here.
